Sigma Premium Brush Set

Hi Dolls!

I decided to treat myself to some new brushes since some of mine are starting to shed.

I placed an order with Sigma on the 22nd of March and I received it on the 28th. So thats 4 working days! I was not expecting that since it did come all the way from the US.

I ordered the Premium Professional  Brush Set Which retails for $139 with a $10 discount which they have at the moment.

With shipping I paid $156.64 which is €112.97

You might think its expensive but for 15 brushes and a brush roll its an absolute bargain considering they are just as good as MAC brushes which can cost up to €50 a brush. These work out at about €7 a brush.

This is a leather brush belt which stores all 15 brushes.

The face brushes come with protective cases. I kept them so I can put them back on after I wash the brushes to keep the shape and prevent them from fluffing out.

Large Powder - F30
Fluffy and rounded tip. Suitable application of powder on face and body. Natural bristles

 Lip Brush - L05

 Tapered Face -  F25
Large domed brush with tapered tip.
Ideal for contouring.
This is my favorite face brush. I wanted the MAC version of this for the longest time but I just couldn't part with €57.

Powder/Blush - F10
Medium round brush ideal for precise blush application.

Tapered Highlight - F35
Smaller version of the F25. Great for more precise contouring and highlighting.

Duo Fibre Powder/Blush - F15
Medium sized tapered duo fibre brush. Widely disperses highly pigmented or mineralized powders. Blend of natural and synthetic bristles.

Large Fluff - E50
This can be used to apply one colour all over the lid. Can also be used for precise highlighting and contouring the nose/jawline

Large Concealer - F65
Can be used to apply cream-based products such as cream blusher to large areas. Synthetic Bristles.

Concealer - F75
Small concealer brush with a slightly pointed tip which allows for more precise application of cream products in small areas.

Blending - E25
Oval shaped brush with gently chiseled sides. Ideal for blending out eyeshadow in the crease. This is my favorite eye brush. This is my third one and its still not enough. I use them every day for blending eyeshadows and under eye concealer

Tapered Blending - E35
Fluffy, long bristled brush with tapered tip. Ideally used to apply and blend color to the crease area and to soften harsh edges.

Small Tapered Blending - E45
Small domed brush with highly tapered tip. This brush can be used to precisely apply and blend intense colors in the crease area.

Short Shader - E20
Flat, short, slightly rounded, and dense brush. Perfect for applying colors on the lash line and smudging eyeliner on the lid. I find this one a little too rough for the bottom lash line as i have extremely sensitive eyes.

Flat Definer - E15
Small, firm and flat brush that can be used to line the eyes or fill in brows.

Small Eye Liner - E10
This brush is ideal for drawing a fine line along the lash line. Its ideal for creating artistic designs.

With every purchase over $30 you get a free gift.
Mine was a mini E25.

I also recently joined the Sigma Affiliate Program so they send me the F80 Flat Top Kabuki which looks like this. I received it on the same day but in a different package.

I've been using this for applying foundation. OH MY GOD. It is the best thing ever invented. Gives me full coverage without leaving any streaks behind and is extremely soft!

I know this is a very long post but its mostly pictures so I hope you didn't get too bored :)
I am absolutely delighted with my new babies and I've been having so much fun trying them out!

I'd like to thank Sigma Make up for extremely fast delivery, fabulous brushes and of course for my little freebie.

Thank you for reading lovelies

  2. you should get the brush guards for them they keep the shape better then the covers that come with them and there much better to use when the brushes are wet cause they have little holes in them to let the air get to the brush! http://www.thebrushguard.com/buy_now.html theres the link they sell them on the coastal scents site to i think that might be cheaper when u include shipping not sure though I got mine ages ago! x

  6. Love that you included pictures...I'm totally clueless when it comes to brushes so the pictures are really helpful. To my shame I have brushes in my drawer that I'm not sure of their function. (hanging my head in shame )
