Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Hi Dolls!

Rimmel released a new foundation a while back called Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation.

I dont own many low end foundations as I tend to buy more expensive ones for some unknown reason. 

I decided to give this a go after spotting it in my local pharmacy for an introductory price of €6.25

Rimmel London introduces Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation, our first foundation that is sweat,  heat, humidity and transfer-proof for up to a full 25 hours. 

What I say:

I put this foundation on at 10am and went for a 10k walk with my friend. Later that day I went to work and got home at 10pm. Thats 12 hours of wearing the foundation, to be honest I can never see myself wearing make up for 25 hours as I will always take it all off before I go to bed. Yes even after a night out with plenty of alcohol in my system. I would say that the foundation is a medium coverage but very buildable. 

When I got home I noticed that my make up still looked flawless and it wasnt shiny which it normally is. When I wear Estee Lauder it tends to wear off by the end of the day especially on my nose and chin. 

I was shocked at how well it lasted. I expected it to make me break out but today is day 5 of me wearing the foundation and not one blemish in sight. 

Today I went and picked up another bottle in a lighter shade for when Im not wearing fake tan.

Of course there is a downside, there is a very small selection of shades. My pharmacy only had 5. I checked online and they actually have 11. The lightest colour Ivory isn't light enough for pale Irish skin and the darkest colour Natural Beige isn't dark enough. 

All that aside I still rate this foundation 5/5 for the amazing durability. I think I will get another few shades for my kit.

TAG: 4 Product Challenge

I was tagged by lovely Laura over at FitzNBitz to do this tag. Since this is my first day off work in ages Its about time I do some blogging! 

This is about narrowing down make up products to just 4!! Which seems crazy for me because on a daily basis I  use about 10-15 different products on my face. 

So Lets Begin

1. Foundation

I would love to be one of them girls that gets away with wearing just tinted moisturiser or no make up at all. Unfortunately that is not the case. I've always struggled with my skin but Ive learned to deal with it and developed a proper skin care routine for myself. However foundation is something I will always use. It amazes me how flawless some products can make you look. My favorites at the moment are Estee Lauder Doublewear for heavy coverage and Chanel Matte Lumiere for a slighly lighter coverage when I have no blemishes. 

2. Cream Blusher

I love the consistency of cream blushers. I only own 3 but they get my full attention unlike others that lay in the back of my drawer. The reason why I picked cream blusher is because I dont like having no colour in my face. My favorite out of the three is Lady Blush by MAC. 

3. Eyeliner

I wear gel eyeliner almost everyday, I will sometimes skip eyeshadow and just draw on a flick and run out the door ( That is when I finish my face of course) 

At the moment Im using MAC Fluiline in Blacktrack which has lasted me for the last 10 months, I havent hit pan on it yet and it hasnt dried up one me. 

4. Mascara

I was going to pick lipstick but in reality I would probably wear mascara more. It definitely  is a staple in my make up bag although I still havent found my holy grail mascara. Im looking for something that wont smudge, flake, transfer on my eyelid, give me false looking lashes and wont clump! God im so picky!

How many of us have looked at a Chanel handbag and thought this will be mine one day! 

Im not the type of person that would starve myself for weeks just to save enough for a pair of Louboutons or a LV Handbag but there are certain things that I would like to own in the future. 

So here they are:

Christian  Louboutin Boots as seen on Dulce Candy

They are so extremely sexy but I could not find the price for them anywhere, they are not on the website anymore. Im guessing the original price is around $1,200

Chanel J12 Unisex $3,525

I first saw a watch similar to this one on Lorraine Stanick 

It is simply amazing and I would love to own this item before anything else on the list. 

Armani Exchange oversized sunglasses $125

I love oversized sunglasses but I dont have many pairs since there isnt much sun in Ireland. 

Christian Louboutins Mad Marta $1,295

I love ankle boots and own many pairs. But these beat them by a mile. 

I love the peep toe and they have a rock chic feel to them.

The red sole is amazing. Just thinking I might cheat and paint the soles of my shoes red! 

Chanel Classic Flap Bag $825

Perfect for nights out. I own so many copies of this in every colour possible. But they never seem to last long. 

But for now I will continue to shop in Penneys :)

Time for a change?

Every girl goes through a phase when everything is dull and you simply need to make a change. Im going through one of these phases right now. 

I've had blonde hair since I was 13. I changed it once 3 years ago, but went back to my blonde locks within a couple of months. 

Lately its been getting very dull and only looks good on the day that I wash it! 

So I do feel like I need to change it up a bit! Nothing to drastic but maybe a tone or two darker. Or three?

Now its you thats going to make the decision for me!!  :)

I am extremely indecisive and  I always need other peoples opinion to make up my own.

I have never done a rant post on my blog. I think its about time I do one!

Ive been having a bad few weeks and I thought Id share haha just because I treat my blog as my personal diary! And if your here to read about make up only, I do apologize. 

• First of all I've been having serious issues with my college. Our whole group complained and out tutor was let go. Yes she really was THAT BAD! We were told that we had plenty of time to start on our portfolios only to find out that everybody else started in October and we started in January. I asked for a refund so now I have to have meetings with the college and fight for my money! I am not impressed >:( 
• I went to buy my first car 2 weeks ago, and after 2 hours of driving to get there the man told me he already made a deal with somebody else. I decided to offer him more money to which he said ok the car is yours. Then the other people arrived literally 2 minutes later and we had a huge argument. They ended up getting the car. What pissed me off was that If we had of got there 5 minutes earlier the car would have been mine. By the way it was a navy Toyota Yaris. Absolute beut.
• My mother. She is currently 5 month pregnant and trust me if you think youve seen an emotinal woman your wrong. Her hormones are driving me crazy. Today she cried over me being disrespectful and not hanging up my coat. Oookk?? 
• My skin. I dont know whats happening to it lately? Ive been breaking out like craaazy. I started using Clinique products and a few weeks later all these angry blemishes started appearing. I blame you overpriced Clinique!! 
• My weight. I know girls are never happy with their appearance and I am one of them. I used to be a size 6-8. Then I went on the contraceptive pill and BOOM the weight just started piling on. Or maybe it was all the muffins and chippers. One or the other!! Since then I went off the pill hoping I would be able to fit back in to my skinnys. So far no progress, I am now usually a size 10. I do fit in to 8 but I feel more comfortable in 10. I tried dieting, but my affair with junk food was too powerful. I tried going on daily walks/jogs but I get too bored. My local gym is way too expensive so for now I will just have to try and cut out all the take aways and exercise more. 

I hope that didn't bore you too much but I just had to get it off my chest! :)

January Loves&&Hates

Yes I am gonna be like everybody else and say I CANT BELIEVE ITS ALREADY FEBRUARY!

I wanted to share with you what products Ive been loving and what Ive been hating this month! I didnt buy too many new products so these are all a few months old! 

-loves

• The two nail polishes dont actually have a name or a number so I cant tell you what they are. All I know is that they are made by Golden Rose. Ive been loving the brown on my fingernails and the purple on my toenails!! :) 
• MAC Moisturecover is great for under eye cirlcles! I use it everyday so I guess its a favorite?
• Next is a cleanser that I got in Terrysales, I used it in college and loved it so decided to get it for myself. I got mine in "Calming". It feels beautiful on my skin and leaves is extremely soft! 
• Skintruth is also from Terrysales. Its a very heavy moisturiser that I use at night time. It smells kinda funky but does a great job at keeping my skin soft!
• Ninna Ricci perfume! My lovely boyfriend got it for me, it smells divine. 
• MAC blushes in Fleur power & Harmony. The two of them completely smashed on me, But I managed to save them! They are still a little cracked but at least I didnt have to throw them out. Harmony is a gorgeous contour colour and Fleur Power is a lovely matte blusher for everyday use!
• Urban Decay Zero eyeliner. You can see that its a favorite, its nearly gone!! 

-hates

• Gosh Velvet Touch primer- Hate hate hate silicone primers. They feel horrible on my face. I have dry skin so they do nothing for me! 
• Benefit blush in blushinfg bride- got this in Heatons for €3. Obviously its a fake but I shouldnt have even bothered spending that much on it. 
• MAC paintpot- I wanted the constructivitis paintop but It was out of stock, so I got this one instead. I never use it, its extremely hard to blend and doesnt do anything special. A black shadow is just as good. 
• Bourjois blush in 03 Brun Cuivre - It smells!!! and it way too shimmery for my liking. 
• Bourjois blush creme illuminateur - I would only use it to add a glow to my chest or legs! It starts to disappear in about 2 hours leaving horrible parts of glitter behind. 

And that is all for my faves and not so faves :)
